Connections - possible themes and some suggested texts
Here are a list of just some of the possible themes, with a list of just some suggested texts. You may choose any theme you like, as long as you have run it past me first. There are many more texts that link to these themes. You are not limited to the ones on this list. Remember that if a film is R16 and you are not 16, you are not able to use it for your assessment.

Writing up your connections/presenting your connections:
Your essay (or other chosen format) should begin with an introduction that identifies your texts and the connection between your texts. In each paragraph after that, you must explain how each individual text is connected to the theme and the other texts. Use any of the paragraph starters following which suit your findings. For each one, expand the idea into a paragraph, giving specific details and explanations.

If you read through this exemplar, you will notice that it is not concise, and that it is quite repetitive. This stops it gaining an Excellence. Instead, it gained a merit.
